Toasty Mitten Advent Calendar.is simply adorable and will add the perfect cozy touch to any home!We had a little adventure here a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty neat to watch actually, so I thought I’d share it with you!

We have a lot of really big old maple trees on our property, with the four biggest ones kind of around the four corners of our house.

The very biggest one was right outside of our master bedroom window, but it had been dying a little more every year and making us more and more nervous with the big wind storms that we get out here all the time.I used the same stain and even the same floor finish for a top coat!

I really like that this counter is nice and durable now and really stands up to constant daily use.. One of the things that I insisted on was that the brackets to hold the counter up be really big and chunky and act as a design element in the room.I didn’t want the whole thing to look flimsy and temporary and be yet another eyesore.

I can take no credit for what Chris came up with, but I really love these brackets!.So simple, but so eye-catching all lined up like that, right?
